About Me

Molly Laurel is an actor, singer and musician based in New York City and Los Angeles. Raised in Southern California, she moved to the city after graduating from the University of California, Irivne. In New York she starred the cautionary musical White Noise, sang with Marc Barnhill and the Sorely Missed, and performed her own music at open mics. She spent 7 years touring the South and Midwest and West Coast singing, acting and dancing at Dollywood, Circa 21, Cornwell’s Theatre and the Old Creamery Theatre. She played Janet in the Rocky Horror Show in Hollywood, CA. She performed in three productions at Great Plains Theatre in Abilene, KS including the mistress who is mistaken for the cook in the British farce, Don't Dress for Dinner, and the naive North Carolina teenager who dreams of being Scarlett O'Hara in Smoke on the Mountain. She performed at the Great American Melodrama in Oceano, CA playing two shows in repertory: “Gunsmokin’”, a Westen Parody, in which Molly plays Kit, a tough Western Woman who dresses up as Sheriff Coltrane in order to save the town from the villain Perky LaPett. And “From Rags to Riches”, a traditional 1904 Melodrama, in which Molly plays Flossie Murphy, the young heroine from the Bowery who is being seduced by the villain Charlie Montgomery who is trying to whisk her away to Europe. Molly also starred in the premiere cast of the Buena Vista Street Community Bell Ringers at Disney's California Adventures at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA. She spent the summer singing and playing ukulele in Denali National Park Alaska for Holland America. She just finished a three month National tour where she traveled to over 18 different states. Back in California, she is singing and acting in the sunshine!
